ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Hydro PW Microprocessor Temperature Controller is designed to control the operation of the pump in any configurations and settings. It features an electronic display that guarantees precise setting of the desired temperatures. Unlike controllers equipped with a manual knob, it is easier and clearer to use, and above all, very accurate. Thanks to the use of microprocessor technology, it has the capability of remote control via a room remote (this function is not available in any other product on the market).
CONTROLLER CAPABILITIES
The controller can operate in three different programs:
- CO program
- DHW program
- Thermostat function program
CO Program
This program is intended for switching the central heating water circulation pump. The controller's task is to turn on the pump if the temperature exceeds the desired value and turn it off if the boiler temperature drops to the value "Pump turn-on temperature – Pump operation hysteresis" - the boiler has cooled down due to shutdown. This prevents unnecessary pump operation, which saves electrical energy and extends the pump's lifespan.
In this program, above 85°C the CO pump is turned on to prevent boiler overheating. Below 5°C the pump is turned on to delay freezing of some central heating installation elements; the pump will turn off at 7°C. Every 14 days, the pump is turned on for 1 minute - this prevents the pump from seizing after the heating season.
DHW Program
This program is intended to switch the pump charging the DHW tank. The controller's task is to turn on the pump if the DHW tank temperature exceeds the value set in the appropriate parameters and turn it off when the DHW tank reaches the set temperature. In this program, below 5°C the pump is turned on to delay freezing of some central heating installation elements; the pump will turn off at 7°C. Every 14 days, the pump is turned on for 1 minute - this prevents the pump from seizing after the heating season.
Thermostat Program
In this program, the controller functions as a thermostat. The pump is turned on from the moment the controller is activated until the set temperature is reached.
Room Panel
The Hydro PW controller is equipped with an RJ12 type output allowing connection of a room thermostat equipped with a voltage-free relay output. The length of the cable connecting the controller to the remote should not exceed 50 meters. If it is necessary to connect the panel with a cable longer than 50 meters, a special version of the panel with a DC socket for connecting an external power supply (with power supply, transmission is possible up to 200m) should be purchased.
