PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A capacitor is an electrical (electronic) component, made of two conductors (plates) separated by a dielectric.

Applying voltage to the capacitor plates causes electric charge to accumulate on them. After disconnecting from the voltage source, the charges remain on the plates due to electrostatic attraction forces. If the capacitor as a whole is not charged, the total charge accumulated on both plates is equal in magnitude but opposite in sign.

APPLICATION
Capacitors, along with resistors, are among the basic passive electronic components. The following classification of capacitors based on their primary application areas is not strict.
