The PROTON regulator is the latest model of the controller and at the same time the successor to one of the most reliable regulators on the market - the YETI controller. The microprocessor PROTON regulator is designed to control the operation of the blower and circulation pump in central heating installations, and it has an output for connecting remote control.
The most important functions of the PROTON regulator
Smooth adjustment of blower speed - NEW ALGORITHM. The PROTON regulator allows setting the maximum and minimum blower speeds, which enables precise selection of the power at which the blower will operate. Gradual activation of the blower from minimum to maximum speeds extends the motor's lifespan and prevents sudden ignition of gases accumulated in the boiler (so-called popping). In competing regulators, there is only one parameter responsible for blower power – in the PROTON regulator, you can set both minimum and maximum speeds.

Main functions of the PROTON controller

Competitor controllers have only one parameter responsible for blower power – in the PROTON controller, you can set minimum and maximum speeds.
Fuel control
This function works by reducing the blower speed to a minimum when the controller detects a temperature drop despite the blower being on. Reducing the blower speed does not cause excessive cooling of the central heating boiler. This function activates after 30 minutes if the set temperature has been reached, or after 2 hours if the set temperature has not been reached (ignition mode – 2 hours).
ANTI-FREEZE function
Below 5°C, the controller turns on the circulation pump, which delays freezing of some elements of the central heating installation (the most vulnerable ones).
ANTI-STOP function
After the heating season, every 14 days the circulation pump is turned on for 1 minute – this prevents the pump from seizing during the summer period – the function works when the controller is on.
Automatic setting retention
The controller automatically saves settings during power outages and resumes the previously performed operation when power returns.
Return to factory settings
The controller has the option to return to factory settings. This function is useful when the controller is misadjusted by inexperienced operators.
Automatic emergency thermostat
An external thermostat (emergency thermostat) serves as protection against overheating, which may result from controller failure or improper operation. It is a special element that cuts off power to the blower at a boiler temperature of 90°C.
User-programmable parameters
Blow time, pause time between blows, maximum and minimum blower speeds, circulation pump activation temperature, controller shutdown temperature.

In addition to the configuration mode available to every user, the PROTON controller has a special mode that allows setting service parameters (additional service manual).

Remote control option
A remote control panel or room thermostat can be connected to the PROTON controller. Connecting a remote panel allows the controller to operate in two modes: room and boiler. Connecting a standard room thermostat allows maintaining the set temperature in the room. Thanks to remote control, we can maintain a constant room temperature, which saves fuel by up to 30%.
