Ebonite - a plastic obtained in the vulcanization process of rubber, natural or synthetic, containing 20-33% sulfur. It is insoluble, non-melting, easily machinable, and has good insulating properties. This material is very resistant to high temperatures, which makes it perfectly suitable for use as handles for boiler door handles, where very high temperatures occur that can affect changes in structure, shape, and can melt handles made of other materials, which may pose a health hazard (e.g., hand burns). The color of the handle grip is black.

The latch is made of galvanized steel alloy. Thanks to the use of steel alloys, the handle is very durable. Perfectly adapted to work at high temperatures.
