MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROLLER

Smooth blower speed control - NEW ALGORITHM

The PROTON controller allows setting maximum and minimum blower speeds, enabling precise adjustment of the blower's operating power. Gradual blower activation from minimum to maximum speeds extends motor life and prevents sudden ignition of gases accumulated in the boiler (so-called popping). Competitor controllers have only one parameter responsible for blower power – the PROTON controller allows setting both minimum and maximum speeds.

FUEL CONTROL

This function reduces blower speed to minimum when the controller detects a temperature drop despite the blower being on. Reducing blower speed does not excessively cool the central heating boiler. This function activates after 30 minutes if the set temperature is reached, or after 2 hours if the set temperature is not reached (ignition mode – 2 hours).

ANTI-FREEZE FUNCTION

Below 5°C, the controller activates the circulation pump, delaying freezing of some central heating installation components (the most vulnerable).

ANTI-STOP FUNCTION

After the heating season, the circulation pump is activated for 1 minute every 14 days – this prevents pump seizure during the summer period – the function works when the controller is on.

AUTOMATIC SETTING RETENTION

The controller automatically saves settings during power loss and resumes previous operation when power returns.

RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS

The controller can be reset to factory settings. This function is useful if the controller is misadjusted by inexperienced operators.

AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY THERMOSTAT

The external thermostat (emergency thermostat) protects the installation from overheating, which may result from controller failure or improper operation. It is a special component that cuts off blower power at a boiler temperature of 90°C.

USER-PROGRAMMABLE PARAMETERS

Blow time, pause time between blows, maximum and minimum blower speeds, circulation pump activation temperature, controller shutdown temperature.

INSTALLER-PROGRAMMABLE PARAMETERS

Besides the configuration mode available to every user, the PROTON controller has a special mode allowing setting service parameters (additional service manual). The service mode enables programming: blower characteristics – allowing the controller to work with any blower on the market (up to a specified max power); blower power during blow – you decide the blower power during blow; blower speed reduction range – how many degrees before the set temperature to reduce blower speed to the boiler's minimum temperature.

REMOTE CONTROL OPTION

The PROTON controller can be connected to a remote control panel PILOT R or a room thermostat. Connecting a remote panel allows the controller to operate in two modes: room and boiler. Remote control enables maintaining a constant room temperature, saving up to 30% fuel. The manufacturer recommends using the PILOT R room panel – available in another of our listings. Any other room controller can also be used.

BLOWER APPLICATION

The blower is designed for air blowing in fine coal and feed-in boilers. The blower has an aluminum housing made of the highest quality composites. All blower components are carefully selected and manufactured. The motor with an external rotor inside the housing is fastened with M4 screws. The metal fan rotor is mounted directly on the motor's external rotor. The air inlet to the fan is protected by a guard preventing finger contact with moving parts - the turbine. All electrical connections are placed in a connection box made of insulating material. The fan motor is adapted for voltage speed control. The fan has a CE conformity declaration.

DM 120 type fans in various versions are intended for air blowing in central heating boilers and other technological devices at ambient temperatures from -15% to +40 °C and relative humidity up to 95%. The fan is not intended for use as a standalone device for domestic or similar use. Primary application - coal boilers.

Thanks to the smooth start of the blower controlled by the controller, explosions of accumulated gases in the boiler are prevented. The blower is equipped with a flap at the outlet that prevents uncontrolled air blowing when the blower is off.
