The Pancerpol 15-30 kW PPŻ EKO 5 Class and EcoDesign screw feeder is a device used to feed solid fuel by means of a screw (auger) placed inside a trough from the fuel tank directly to the furnace in the boiler. This ensures that the fuel is fed systematically and evenly, which affects economical operation and user convenience.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The solid fuel burner with a new generation screw feeder is a solution that allows the use of a wide range of fuels in the form of loose material and granules from 0-32mm. The main fuel is coal with a granulation of 0-32mm (from dust to pea coal). The design of the new burner nozzle and the use of a new fuel feeding method allow the use of so-called difficult fuels, e.g. coals with a high rogi number (caking ability), which tend to form clinkers in the furnace. The feeder construction uses cast iron, while the auger is made of spheroidal cast iron. This increases corrosion resistance, providing the user with longer durability. This is very important when using coal dust, which does not occur in a dry state (remember that coal contains sulfur, which with moisture increases corrosion). The use of cast iron reduces the noise of the feeder operation and shows less tendency to transmit vibrations to other boiler components. Cast iron is resistant to deformation caused by temperature, which is important for the auger, which heats up strongly when lowering fuel in the furnace.

The Pancerpol 15-30 kW PPŻ EKO 5 Class and EcoDesign screw feeder is equipped with a Linix gear motor. The drive motor of the reducer has a CE conformity declaration. It is characterized by very high durability and workmanship. The motor power in the applied gear motor is 0.06 kW (60 W). The gear motor rotates at a speed of 1 revolution per minute. The bushing in the gear motor has a diameter of 25 mm. It is connected to the auger with a cotter pin. Manufacturers recommend a 5 mm diameter screw with a partial thread as a cotter pin; a full thread weakens the properties of the cotter pin - screw. The screw has a hardness of 8.8.

The product in its current form is refined and tested, worthy of recommendation.

These feeders are used in boilers heating areas up to 320 m2. However, this depends on the building volume, insulation level, and the fuel used.
