It has a modern housing with a color display and backlit keys. PILOT G 904 allows operation in two communication standards: 1-Wire (intended for controllers produced since 2003) or RS 485 ProND (intended for the latest controllers such as Iryd 610). The panel's functionality changes depending on the selected standard.

PILOT G enables remote monitoring of devices such as feeders, blowers, or central heating pumps. Additionally, it is possible to remotely change the boiler/circuit settings, DHW settings, operating mode, and it has a room thermostat function (turning off the circulation pump when the room is heated). It has built-in time zones (temperature programming for the whole week) and a holiday mode.
