The PELLPAL V-400 accumulation tank is a device made of sheet metal in a welded version. The tank's construction has a cylindrical shape in a vertical position set on supports (legs) with adjustable screws for PELLPAL V 200-800 tanks, which allow leveling and vertical alignment. PELLPAL V 60-140 tanks are designed for vertical hanging installation and have prepared mounting and structural elements. The cylindrical part (jacket) is closed on both sides with flat bottoms reinforced with folds and strengthening ribs. The tank has a set of connection nozzles: supply and return nozzles on the boiler and heating system side, as well as drain, measurement, and an additional universal nozzle (optional). The tank construction diagram is shown in the attached diagram in the gallery.

Insulation of the PELLPAL V Accumulation Tank

The tanks are thermally insulated over the entire surface. The insulation material has been selected to minimize heat loss (temperature of the insulated tank surface approx. 30 OC) with minimal insulation layer thickness. Insulation mats can be covered with sheet metal or protected with a special cover made of plastic bag material. During transport to the installation site (boiler room, basement), the insulation and insulation cover can be removed and reinstalled after tank installation. Care should be taken not to damage the insulation and cover during removal and reinstallation.

Accumulation Tanks for Central Heating Boilers

Buffer tanks, also called heat storage tanks, accumulation tanks, or commonly buffers, are designed exclusively for storing neutral inert fluids, i.e., treated and demineralized boiler water. They can cooperate with various heat sources in central heating systems such as solid fuel boilers, fireplaces with water jackets, heat pumps, solar systems, etc. - solely as heat accumulators. The purpose of accumulation tanks is to store periodic excess energy in situations of variable heat demand for heating needs. Using a tank allows full utilization of the heat generated during combustion and reduces fuel consumption compared to a system without a tank. The heat energy produced in the boiler is transferred via the heating medium to the insulated accumulation tank. It can be used later as the heat demand for the heating system increases. Thanks to the use of heat buffers, the energy stored in the tank can be drawn by the heating system for several hours.
