OPERATING NOTES
- heaters intended for use in galvanized or enameled steel tanks must not be used in stainless steel tanks
- the heater must be installed so that the entire element is always submerged in liquid - it should always be installed at the bottom of the device
- connect to power only after filling the device with liquid
- to optimally and economically select the heater, the heat output provided by the manufacturer of the radiator should be matched with the electrical power of the heater - use heaters with power slightly lower (100 - 150 W) than the radiator's heat output
- the control lamp lighting indicates heating; after reaching the temperature set by the knob, the lamp goes out
- do not screw in while holding the plastic housing (risk of breaking)
- extension of the connection cable should be entrusted to an authorized service point
- stainless steel heaters must be galvanically isolated from the tank (grounded or neutralized) to avoid electrochemical corrosion. This task should be performed by a person with SEP qualifications
NOTE REGARDING HEATER SELECTION ACCORDING TO WARRANTY CONDITIONS
According to the recommendations and warranty conditions, the power selection relative to the tank capacity should be calculated with a minimum coefficient of 18 Watts/liter.
A properly selected heater will heat the capacity in about 2-3 hours and then calmly regenerate the insulation of the heating coil, waiting for the next heating cycle. For heaters with too low power, not compliant with the 18 Watts/liter recommendation, operation causes continuous work and overheating of the heating element and controller contacts, leading to premature failure.
For proper heater operation, always use the highest possible heater power according to the above formula / coefficient 18 W/liter
Optimally 1500 W for tanks up to 80 liters (80 liters x 18 Watts/liter = 1400 W heater power)
2000 W for tanks up to max 120 liters
3000 W (STANDARD version) for max 160 liters
Larger tanks or commercial use should use 3000W heaters LONG version, as follows:
For tanks above 180 – 300 liters, we strongly recommend (especially for photovoltaics) using a 3 KW heater, but in the LONG version
