Ebonite - a plastic material obtained in the process of vulcanization of rubber, natural or synthetic, containing 20-33% sulfur. It is insoluble, non-melting, easily subjected to mechanical processing, and has good insulating properties. This material is very resistant to elevated temperatures, which makes it perfectly suitable for use as handles for boiler door grips, where very high temperatures occur that can affect changes in structure, shape, and can melt handles made of other materials, which may pose a health hazard (e.g., hand burns). The color of the handle grip is black.
The latch is made of a steel alloy - galvanized. Thanks to the use of steel alloys, the handle is very durable. Perfectly adapted to work at high temperatures.
