Szczeliwa szklane, ceramiczne, łojowe
Szczeliwa ceramiczne i szklane wykorzystywane są do uszczelnienia drzwiczek kotła oraz innych elementów takich jak podajniki, zbiorniki czy inne części wymagające szczelnego połączenia. Szczeliwa produkowane są w dwóch kształtach okrągłym i kwadratowym. Szczeliwa występują w wielkościach bardzo zróżnicowanych, od bardzo małych ze średnicą 1 centymetra, do bardzo dużych nawet do 5-6 centymetrów. Szczeliwa zazwyczaj umieszczane są w odpowiednio przygotowanym zagłębieniu w drzwiczkach kotła, mogą zostać szczelnie ułożone lub czasem przyklejone na klej ognioodporny. Szczeliwa dzielą się na mniej i bardziej odporne na wysokie temperatury. Szczeliwo szklane ma odporność do 500 stopni, natomiast ceramiczne nawet do 1100 stopni celsjusza.
